NEMA Group was founded in 2016 when, driven by a deep sense of purpose, our founder stepped away from a successful international corporate career in the design and construction industry to establish NEMA Eldercare. Building from the ground up and training a new generation of professionals, NEMA launched its care home on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, 2019. Targeted at India-1, an affluent segment, and setting benchmark standards in service and quality, it became only the second care home of its kind in all of North India.

Just six months after its launch, NEMA was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The challenges persisted through 2021, but during this period, NEMA successfully established its in-home care division. By 2022, the company had stabilized and, in 2023, signed its first senior living operations contract.

In 2024, NEMA opened its second care home—set to be the most luxurious in India—piloted age-care technology, and secured its second senior living operations deal. In 2025, it launched NEMA Club+, a pioneering startup in the field of senior care.

Sanjeev Kumar Jain is a visionary entrepreneur with 10 plus years of experience in eldercare space. This was following 24 years of global experience in architecture, design, project management, and real estate development. His journey spans continents, from leading high-end projects in the Middle East to pioneering innovative eldercare solutions in India.

Blending his expertise in architecture, technology, healthcare, and senior living, Sanjeev founded NEMA Eldercare to redefine aging with dignity. Under his leadership, NEMA has evolved into a holistic ecosystem, offering luxury senior living, home healthcare, and vibrant community spaces for elders.
His portfolio includes the design and management of townships, high-rise towers, private islands, universities, and star hotels collectively valued at billions of dollars. A former professor and a recognized industry leader, Sanjeev seamlessly integrates innovation, hospitality, technology and medical care to create spaces that prioritize both comfort and well-being.

Driven by a passion for social impact, he continues to bridge the gaps between cutting-edge technology and compassionate eldercare, shaping the future of aging in India.

Dr. Chetna Jain

Dr. Chetna Jain is a highly distinguished medical professional with over 30 years of experience in the UK and India. As the head of healthcare and hospitality operations at NEMA, she ensures that each resident receives personalized, compassionate and comprehensive care.

With prior experience in leading departments at Apollo Cradle and Columbia Asia Hospital, Dr. Jain has built an extensive network of medical contacts across various specialties, both in India and internationally. Her expertise in mental health, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and depression, makes her instrumental in designing and customizing care plans tailored to individual needs.

Beyond her administrative roles, Dr. Jain is deeply committed to training healthcare professionals, including nurses, physiotherapists, and caregivers, enhancing the overall quality of eldercare services. Currently, Dr. Chetna also serves as director on the board of Cloudnine Group of Hospitals.
